Data and Digital
The ILG, in partnership with the ABHI, ABPI and the Digital Health and Precision Medicine Innovation Centres is focussed on maximising the opportunities in Digital Health with the specific aims of transforming the accessibility to patient data through standardised inputs, interoperability, and interconnectivity of current datasets and improving the innovation-commercialisation pipeline and processes.
Sustainable Production
The Sustainable Production Group (SPG) focuses on driving the priority areas of Digital, Innovation and Leadership within the 2025 Vision’s strategic theme of Sustainable Production. This includes the following subgroups:
- Digital – promoting digital and data excellence to manufacturing process industries by sharing best practice
- Innovation – advancing innovation in sustainable manufacturing to process industries across Scotland
- Leadership – providing a Leadership Masterclass Programme focussed on the development of emerging leaders in the Life and Chemicals Sciences sectors
Internationalisation
A key element of Scotland’s Life Sciences Strategy is to maximise Scotland’s global footprint. The Internationalisation Sub-Group of the ILG comprises industry leaders and key stakeholders in Scottish life sciences who work together to grow overseas trade and inward investment. The group focuses on three key priorities: leveraging Scotland’s strong national and international networks, promoting Scotland as a location for inward investment in life sciences and supporting the company base to grow exports.
Connectivity and Marketing
The life sciences sector in Scotland is uniquely connected through geography, a network of support infrastructure and a tremendous appetite for collaboration. This creates a powerful catalyst for innovation and growth and the Connectivity and Marketing workstream is committed to maximising this culture, extending connections beyond Scotland and promoting the abundance of innovation that exists across all the industry subsectors. We do this through showcasing capabilities and signposting business support from the lifesciencesscotland.com website, LinkedIn and Twitter and through partnering with relevant stakeholders to create insights and events for the life sciences community.
AAA: Animal Health, Agritech and Aquaculture
The AAA subgroup aims to build an industry and academic community of engagement across Scotland for positive impact, promoting Scotland’s international assets and leading capabilities in Animal Health, Agritech and Aquaculture through our network of partners and engaging industry through activities and events.
