Postgraduate MSc programme and STEM placements in Precision Medicine
The University of Glasgow is seeking industry partners to provide student placement experiences to students participating in the Postgraduate MSc programme in Precision Medicine. Their support and encouragement will help students learn how underlying causes are targeted therapeutically and discover the technologies helping to detect and diagnose diseases. This MSc is designed to directly meet research demands in the NHS, industry, and academia where there is an immediate need for scientists with both biological knowledge and the computational, statistical, analytical, and practical skills to drive precision medicine in Scotland. Also, the Living Laboratory STEM (Science, Design and technology, Engineering, Mathematics Careers) team is interested in hearing from companies who can provide a week long work experience opportunity to S5 pupils, again, focused on developing interest in future careers in Precision Medicine. STEM represents a key driver for the development of the skills and knowledge across the subjects and skills that are at the heart of the development of Scotland’s Young Workforce and of Glasgow’s future economy and prosperity and is essential in supporting our young people to become scientifically and digitally literate citizens. The deadline is 30 March 2024.
